At Emerging Design Consulting , we help to build healthy communities and effective organizations by assisting groups to identify the best within themselves, articulate their vision, and create strategies and structures to achieve their goals.

Philosophy

Emerging Design Consulting, and owner Bonnie G. Olson, operates on a philosophy that innovative, whole system approaches are needed to create the positive changes we seek.  Several principles shape my work:

• The expertise and wisdom needed for personal and community health lie within
• each person and sector in the community has unique and valuable perspectives
• by bridging current barriers we can create systems change
• through genuine participation, we activate full commitment

We specialize in collaborative communication and decision making, strategies for systemic change, and customized tools that enable dialogue, strengthen relationships, and foster collaborative action. We provide responsive, culturally competent services, and can convene a team that is multi-lingual and multicultural.  The design is emerging because the client is a collaborative partner to shape a process that fits their culture, their resources, and their needs.
